For tree lovers - The Cage Pollard, Burnham Beeches - (one of the top 50 UK Jubilee Trees) a particularly famous tree because of its hollow elaborate structure and feature in Robin Hood Prince of thieves! The Burnham Beeches is well worth a visit as it consists of hundreds of 400+ year old trees, the oldest being the Druids oak which is estimated to be 800 years old.
Other places worth travelling to are Ascott House, Wing, Leighton Buzzard, Civedon Taplow, Maidenhead which has beautiful walks along river, a spectacular yew walk, and the National collection of Catalapa, and Stowe School and its landscaped gardens where there are lakes, temples and ancient oaks.
